How to celebrate the holiday season with your team?

December 14, 2020 By RoiC2020

The holiday season could be one of the best times to strengthen the relationship of your team. There are a lot of things that you can do to build camaraderie among one another. Good relationships among the team members can mean more productivity and longevity, so as a leader, make use of the holiday season to build your team’s connection. Here are some of the things that you can do to spend the holiday seasons with your team:

Have a station decorating contest.

Stir some healthy competition by conducting a station decorating contest. This will awaken the creative side of your team as they decorate their station for the holiday season. Aside from that, this contest will stir up the competition and the festivity as they decorate according to the occasion. The best team or individual who will win the best station will win some Christmas treats.

Have a Christmas Kris Kringle.

Kris Kringle will always be a fun and exciting thing to do with your team this Christmas season. It is one of the best ways to relieve everyone from the stresses of work and have some fun time this holiday season. Thus, there are a lot of creative ways to do Kris Kringle. One of those is by doing a seven days before Christmas exchanging of gifts, wherein you and your team will be exchanging Christmas gifts during the whole week.

However, the frequency of the gift-giving still depends on you. You can also do it weekly or daily if you want to. You can decide on the category for each day and prepare gifts according to the categories given. Here are some categories that you might want to consider: something colorful, something useful, something black, something long, something sweet, something fluffy. The choice of category will surely make this Kris Kringle fun.

You can also organize a white elephant exchange gift to add to this holiday season’s excitement.

Host an office potluck.

There’s something about food that brings everyone together. Hosting a potluck can be a fun activity to share with your team. Have your team bring in their cooked food that they could share with everyone. After all, Christmas is all about giving,

Organize a charitable event with your team.

This season is the season to share what we have with those who are in need. Have your team exemplify the real meaning of Christmas by doing charitable cause with them. You can organize an orphanage, a home for the aged, or any organization that you decide to donate as a team.
